Harastani Group is an import and trading house based in Adra Industrial City, Damascus. We buy equipment from manufacturers, move it into Syria, clear it, deliver it to site, and stay reachable afterwards. That is the whole business. We have been doing it since 2010.

The market we serve has a specific set of failures, and they repeat. Equipment arrives at a lower specification than the one that was discussed. A shipment sits at customs because a certificate is missing from the file. A generator runs for a season and then needs a part that nobody in the country stocks. The seller who was reachable during the negotiation is not reachable after the invoice is paid. Every part of how we work is a response to one of those four.

So we source directly through corridors in China and Brazil rather than through a broker layer, because a broker cannot be held to a specification he did not write. We agree the specification in writing before payment. We inspect at the factory rather than at the port. We assemble the document pack before the vessel sails rather than after a customs officer asks for it. And we settle the spare parts position before handover instead of discovering it during a breakdown.

Two of those obligations carry names inside the house, because a named programme is something a team can be held to and an unnamed process is something that quietly becomes optional.
